The Green Valley High School Band program, established in 1991, is a musical leader in the Southwestern United States. With a proud history of excellence in the performing arts, the program has received the National Grammy Award for Performing Arts three times. It comprises Concert Bands, Jazz Ensembles, a Marching Band, and more, offering students opportunities in AP Music Theory and Student Leadership. The top ensemble, the Green Valley Symphonic Wind Orchestra, has performed at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center and internationally in cities such as Rome, London, and Paris. The Marching Band has participated in notable events, including the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and two presidential inaugural parades. The Jazz Ensemble has been honored with awards and invited to renowned festivals. The program's impact extends to the Las Vegas community, with sought-after performances by the Jazz Bands and Jazz Combo.
