Green Valley Bands: Amplifying Music Education

PARENTS and COMMUNITY MEMBERS - WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! Green Valley High School invites and encourages all parents and guardians to be actively involved in the Booster Program. Successful organizations are always led by a team of people. A cohesive team that includes administration, directors, parents, and community members who trust each other and strongly desire to work towards the same goal: WHAT IS BEST FOR ALL STUDENTS IN THE ORGANIZATION. 

MISSION STATEMENT:

The Green Valley High School Band Boosters mission is to support and enrich music education for all students through the support of the vision laid out by the director(s) and administration. This enrichment and support will help our students develop the skills, knowledge, experience, and confidence to contribute to the community beyond High School and become a positively engaged citizen.  Here at Green Valley Bands, we wholeheartedly believe in the transformative power of music education. As a community of passionate musicians, educators, parents, and students, we understand that music is not just an art form, but also a vital tool that enriches lives, fosters creativity, and cultivates a sense of collaboration.

Our Boosters aim to provide invaluable assistance to our music programs and ensure that every student has access to the best possible learning experiences.

GOALS: 

1. Raise additional funds to support the activities of an involved and successful organization with the mission to ensure accessibility to high-quality resources.

2. Help provide additional resources to support the organization with equipment, building props, etc.

3. Offer assistance in logistics so that the directors/staff can focus on the teaching of the students in the Band and Colorguard program. 

4. Foster a cohesive and positive environment that includes the support of other parents, students, and staff. We exist as WE/US, not I/ME - a concept crucial in the foundation of a successful booster group. 

5. Advocate to promote the value of music within our community and beyond. We emphasize the numerous benefits that music brings to a well-rounded education.

Monthly Parent Booster Meetings

We invite all parents to attend our monthly parent meetings each month. They start at 6pm in the band room and are usually 45 minutes to 1 hour in length. It is the best way to get information on the calendar, upcoming fundraisers, trips, performances, etc. We hope to see you at this year's Parent Meetings.
